AICAD 2021 Academic Symposium

In our DEI work on campus, often student input is sought out to create programming that is relevant to the community of which we serve. The input is necessary, as often, the makeup and lived experience of the faculty and staff do not reflect that of the student body. However, this creates an issue, because now the students are doing DEI Work without recognition or payment. We frown upon this kind of research outside of our community, so how can we create an equitable solution and model for students respectful co-design within our communities and institutions?
